Types of Scissor Lifts Functions and Application Scenarios
There are different types of scissor lifts on the market, and we have roughly counted them as follows: fixed scissor lifts, mobile scissor lifts, self-propelled scissor lifts, vehicle-mounted scissor lifts, manually operated scissor lifts and scissor lifts designed to carry goods. Each of these lifts has its own unique characteristics and applications, and the following is an introduction to some of them:
Fixed scissor lift: This type of lift is mainly used to transport goods between floors of a building. It is usually equipped with fall and overload protection, and the control buttons can be set on all floors and platforms for multi-point control. Due to its solid construction, large lifting capacity, smooth lifting and lowering, and easy installation and maintenance, it has become an economical and practical alternative to the low-floor lift for transporting goods.
Traction Scissor Lift: This type of lift uses external power for traction, such as three phase power supply or diesel engine, making it convenient and fast to move and suitable for long distance operation. It is mainly used for outdoor aerial
work in the petroleum, electric power, urban construction, post and telecommunications industries.
Self-propelled scissor lift: The platform is safe, reliable and durable, with a working height of up to 12 metres and a load capacity of 300kg. Its fence can be extended horizontally, greatly increasing the working area. The platform is suitable for
all types of scenarios where aerial work is required.
Vehicle mounted scissor lifts: This type of lift integrates four- wheel movement and two wheel traction, adopts the chassis of a car, tricycle or battery car as the platform chassis, and uses the car's engine or DC power as the motive force to drive the platform movement and lifting. Its flexibility and portability make it suitable for various mobile work scenarios.

In terms of functional scenarios, scissor lifts are widely used in various fields, including:
Industrial production: In the manufacturing industry, scissor lifts are widely used for material handling and operations, such as height adjustment of workpieces on workshop production lines and parts assembly.
Warehouse and logistics: In the logistics and warehousing industry, scissor lifts are widely used for operations such as cargo stacking, warehousing and discharging, which improves work efficiency and safety.
Construction: Scissor lifts are widely used in construction projects for overhead operations, such as installation of ceilings, maintenance works, etc., providing a convenient working platform for construction workers.
Petrochemical industry: In the petrochemical industry, scissor lifts are used for aerial work in oil and gas exploration, production and storage.
Electric power industry: Scissor lifts are widely used in the electric power industry for line overhaul, maintenance and other operations, which improves the safety and reliability of electric power facilities.
Aerospace industry: In the aerospace industry, scissor lifts are used for maintenance, inspection, testing and other operations, providing a convenient tool for the maintenance of aerospace equipment.
Shipbuilding industry: In the shipbuilding industry, scissor lifts are used for internal maintenance, equipment installation and other operations, improving the efficiency and safety of ship maintenance.
